For years, even before the release of Kung Fu Panda 4, fans have demanded a Furious Five spin-off. They were properly last seen in Kung Fu Panda 3 and some short films. They were absent for shows like Paws of Destiny and The Dragon Knight and for Kung Fu Panda 4, their roles were just silent cameos.

https://thedirect.com/article/kung-fu-panda-5-franchise-exclusive
In these interviews, director Mike Mitchell has expressed interest in making a Furious Five spin-off. He stated that he wants the Five to be "front and center" in the next film and wants to explore the world of bugs. Now I know people did not like Mitchell's creative choices in the production of KFP4 but he has been a strong advocate for a Furious Five spin-off. I also think he is very over-hated.
The second reason why DreamWorks might make this movie and release it in 2026 is because of box office success. Movies of several big-name franchises like Avengers, Spider-Man, Jumanji, Super Mario and so on are releasing in 2026. Then we know that every year, DreamWorks makes an original movie and a sequel. For sequel, we have the highly anticipated Shrek 5 but no original movie has been slated yet. And we know original movies have low chances at succeeding at box office. Eg: - Ruby Gillman. But a Furious Five spin-off has a much higher chance of becoming a success. Now yes, the Penguins of Madagascar spin-off bombed despite the Madagascar movies becoming commercial hits but a spin-off still has higher chances of performing good than a completely original film. It would technically be an original movie because the upcoming Dog Man movie is a spin-off of the Captain Underpants movie but Bad Guys 2 is the proper sequel. Then the spin-off may not necessarily be a sequel to Kung Fu Panda 4. It could be a prequel to that movie and set after Kung Fu Panda 3.
So what do you guys think ?
This article reports that the trailer for The Bad Guys 2 has been rated and it's expected to release soon.

I'm late again with a review so I wrote this a little past time. Also, I have read the book, but I wanted to see the movie to add that to the review.

Before we continue, the Wild Robot movie was produced by Dreamworks, and distributed by Universal Studios. It was a collaborative effort.
The movie/book The Wild Robot definitely is one of the best Dreamworks has made. While the story and plot credit all goes to the author of the original book by Peter Brown, and he made up all the characters in it. The book is very well written and I would immediately put it in a five star rating. It's descriptive, has lots of tension and emotion, and you can just picture the beautiful scenes that come to life in your mind. When Roz finds Brightbill, when Kink tries to eat Brightbill in his egg plus the chase scene, and in those quiet yet emotional moments that display the forest and the wilderness around it. The story was truly remarkable, and it is a VERY unique idea upon creating the book.
Likes:
-The descriptive words that set the soft yet raging images in your mind, creating the forest scenes and Roz's life as a wild robot.
-The heartwarming moments between Roz and her family
-When Fink truly shows that he does have feelings that display his emotions about having someone to care about and love.
-When Brightbill, though very much bullied by others for having a robot mother, but ends up never doubting anything about it in the end.
Dislikes:
-There were some moments that got out of hand, like Brightbill almost drowning
-I hate the other robots, and wish they could see past their own programming
The movie might be what really takes my breath away. Dreamworks has recently recognized that their audience are growing up, as shown in one of their last movies(Puss in Boots & the last wish, Purrito tells Goldlocks and the Three Bears that he's been called a lot of things, and those included plenty of censoring words, and the movie itself has plenty of violence, courtesy of Jack Horner) and they incorporated that in the movie. Within the first ten minutes, there was a dead bird of the screen and a decapitated crow head.
But besides the violence, the movie is extraordinary! The colors soar wildly, and each scene is well created and carefully added with each little detail. For example, the butterfly scene where Roz sets her hand on a tree, and hundreds of butterflies start to fly away. In total, more than 5,000 butterflies were drawn to create that one scene. The detail put into the movie was perfect, and really brought out the idea that you don't have to be what others say you should be. That you don't have to be what your supposed to be. That you can be anything, do anything, feel anything, and love anyone you want.
Likes:
-The animation and color was simply stunning and well made, and had lots of depth. It's an eye-sore, but in a good way.
-They kept the animation style similar to the one they used with Puss and Boots & The Last Wish.
-The designs were lavish, mouth-watering, and overall fantastic.
-The way they carried out the story but still kept the immense feeling and depth of belonging.
Dislikes:
-The first 5-11 minutes were a complete blur of Roz running from everyone and everything, and still looking for someone to help with her assistance coding
Overall, I don't hate the movie or books, and really enjoyed it! The books were done well, the movies color and appeal to most age-groups, and the entire feeling was great. I enjoyed reading and watching the master-crafted scenes that really made me feel like I could belong anywhere. Peter Brown did an amazing job creating the plot and the characters, and by the looks of some of my own fandom's I visit, it inspired so many people. I found one post that gave a quick note saying that they had watched the movie after not reading the book in a year, and it brought them back to their old stuff. They made a post saying how they might be returning to writing and drawing about the story.
