"A Beacon of Hope" is the first episode of the second season of the Dreamworks•Netflix series, Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous.

Synopsis

Still stranded on the island - and still reeling from the apparent loss of Ben - the campers make a last-ditch attempt at rescue by sending out an SOS.

Plot

After the incident, an Ankylosaurus was walking through and scratches its back with a upside-down vehicle. Four Compsognathus enter in an empty Gyrosphere. A Brachiosaurus is being confronted by four Pteranodons on a monorail. Blue was in the underground tunnels and looks up at the surface light before disappearing into the shadows. Then a group of Sinoceratops and Ankylosaurus were enjoying peacefully near a broken fence. Two Stegosaurus were walking through the abandoned Camp Cretaceous.

The campers were running away from the Parasaurolophus until a T. rex chases after it. The kids hide behind a fallen tree and the T. rex killed the Parasaurolophus. They were all relieved after the T. rex with its meal. Kenji asks why are there so many dinosaurs around and Brooklynn answered him that the fences are shutdown. Yasmina replied that she wants a sandwich because they haven't eaten since they had those carob bars that Ben gave them. The kids are still mourn to Ben. Darius then see the Main Street and might get both food and call for help.

They all head to the Main Street and see that the place is deserted after the event of Jurassic World. They started look at the damages in the buildings and realized that there was a fight between the Tyrannosaurus rex and the Indominus rex. Brooklynn points out that they don't have to worry about the hybrid anymore since they realized that the Mosasaurus ate her for good.
