- According to himself, he is the source of all Fear.
- If this is true then he could be similar to Death another character from the Puss in Boots series and Shrek franchise who is depicted as a wolf due to wolves and as the personification of fear in the Brothers Grimm fairytales, with a major difference being that Death is more merciful and far less evil and malicious.
- Only Dulcinea can defeat him with a type of Amulet.
- He feeds on Fear to make himself stronger.
- He is the arch-enemy of Xeno.
- He is one of the fifteen DreamWorks Animation villains to be pure evil, along with General Mandible, Tzekel-Kan, Ke-Pa, Drago Bludvist, Queen Usurna, Commander Sendak, D-Stroy, General Morando, White Bone Demon, Grimmel the Grisly, Dr. Emilia, Horde Prime, Catra, and "Big" Jack Horner who is from the same series as Bloodwolf.
