Buttons Crimini is a minor antagonist in the Big Idea franchise, The VeggieTales Show.

Physical Appearance[]
Buttons is a short, light tan mushroom with brown freckles, purple eyelids, black eyebrows, a light orange nose, and a "dirty" pinkish-brown cap with reddish-purple spots. He wears a light pink shirt, a black tie, and a black coat with lavender stripes and a red flower attached to it.
Synopsis[]
Buttons Crimini is a criminal mushroom who is known for holding grudges against others, especially Adele Pepper, who once exposed him for feeding kids dirt disguised as ice cream. His hideout is in an old, abandoned warehouse.
Buttons hired Adele as his accomplice to help him get rid of the League of Incredible Vegetables by using a green chemical substance that would make them argue with each other endlessly and hold grudges against one another (up to the point when they no longer wanted to work as a team). That way, he could take over Bumblyburg without the League's interference.
Ricochet (the only member of the League who wasn't affected by the same green substance as the rest of the team) overheard the evil mushroom's plan and tried to warn the rest of the League. Unfortunately, he was caught and locked up in a cage inside Buttons' lair. After Adele's report on the League's splitting up, Buttons then began his takeover plan by enlarging himself and spreading a cloud of green gas to make the citizens of Bumblyburg argue with each other.
Ricochet managed to escape and warned the League about Buttons and tried to convince them to stop him as a team. However, due to the League still holding grudges against each other, each member tried to defeat Buttons themselves but to no avail. Ricochet finally managed to convince the League to forgive each other and get over their grudges, thus they were able to work together and succeed in defeating Buttons once and for all.
Buttons ended up shrinking to a flattened cap as a result and was soon arrested for his villainous actions afterwards.

- Buttons speaks with a Brooklyn accent.
- Buttons' design appears to be based off (and likely inspired by) many fictional crime boss-type characters, such as Don Vito Corleone from The Godfather films and DC Comics supervillain Carmine Falcone.
- Buttons is the sixth mushroom character in the franchise, after The Mushroom Family from LarryBoy and the Rumor Weed and Ma Mushroom from LarryBoy: The Cartoon Adventures.
- Buttons is the fourth VeggieTales character who is shown to grow to a larger size, with the first three being the Fib, the Rumor Weed (specifically the Mother Weed), and Motato.
- According to himself, he grew up in dirt (and very likely only ate dirt growing up).
- He is the tenth VeggieTales character to have eyebrows and three-dimensional eyelids altogether, with the first nine being Scooter, Mr. Nezzer, Apollo Gourd, Charlie Pincher, Oscar, Gourdon Smithson, Dr. Flurry, Bruce Onion, and Guy Broccoli.
- He is also the second new character in The VeggieTales Show to have both of these features, with Guy Broccoli being the first.
- Like the Fib, his voice becomes deeper as he gets bigger.
