Hey, Adora.
―Catra's favorite greeting to Adora.

Catra is one of the main antagonists in the DreamWorksNetflix's series, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power. She is a Force Captain in the Horde and was Adora's best friend before her defecting to join the Rebellion. Catra seemingly reforms and joins the Rebellion, claiming that she has realized how wrong she was about the Her actions and claims that she loves Adora and cares for her.

Background[]

Official Description[]

Catra and Adora grew up together in the Horde and once shared a powerful bond. Though she initially felt deeply betrayed when Adora joined the Rebellion, Catra realizes she has been given the opportunity to step out of Adora's shadow and climb the ranks in the Horde. Full of new ambition, Catra quickly takes Adora's spot as Force Captain.

Personality[]

Catra has shown to be a bit of a slacker without proper motivation when she showed up late at the training exercise. She is also someone who is the life of the party which seems to be a thrill-seeker, complaining about how boring the Fright Zone was, needing to blow something up, and wanting extreme excitement at taking a Horde skiff for a thrill ride. However, Catra is shown a bit callous, showing no issue to the Horde's destructive behavior when it attacks an innocent town, and not thinking twice about striking her own best friend, Adora, with a Stun Gun multiple times to bring her back.

Physical Appearance[]

Catra is an alien cat teenage girl with with tan-skinned. She has a slender and athletic physique, freckled cheeks, soft-curved black eyebrows, and cedar-brown hair that tends toward wild and spiky. Earlier in the series, Catra has brown hair with two lighter-colored tufts, hanging below her ears, and she initially wears a headpiece with small black markings (inspired by the one worn by her counterpart from the original 1980's series).

Trivia[]

  • Despite her reformation at the end of the series, Catra is still considered a Villain by many, even within her own fandom.
    • This is mainly due to how her apologies towards Adora, Entrapta and Scorpia were handled, How willing the three were to forgive her and due to her still present attitude problems.
    • Catra is also considered one of the most controversial characters of the series, due to her vicious period as a villain the perceived half-baked redemption and the rushed pacing of her arc in season five.
  • Catra slightly resembles to the Marvel superhero Tigra.
