Purpose
Displays a pop-up mesage containing announcements, primarily for users who have their preferences set for the Monobook skin, and for some mobile devices like Blackberrys.
"Crazy Fast" is the first episode of the first season of the Dreamworks•Netflix series Turbo FAST, and its series premiere. It was released alongside the first five episodes of season one on December 24th, 2013. In this double-length episode, Turbo returns from his victory tour around the world but is challenged by a fame-hungry tiger beetle named Hardcase, who intends to usurp Turbo's status as fastest creature.
Turbo must become a hero by saving the city from a menacing tiger beetle, who has challenged him to a race on an insane, stunt-filled obstacle course.
Plot[]
Five months after the events of the film, Turbo and Tito return to Starlight Plaza following their worldwide victory tour. After greeting Kim Ly, Tito surprises Turbo with a newly built city for snails and other creatures, called Starlight City. Reuniting with Chet, Turbo is surprised with a new racetrack built in his honor, holding an exhibition race with the Starlight Crew: Whiplash, Burn, Skidmark, Smoove Move, and White Shadow. Turbo struggles due to the track's drastic differences, including portions suited for each crew member, causing Turbo to consistently fall behind. On the final stretch, the race is interrupted by an army of tiger beetles, led by Hardcase. Envious of Turbo's fame and success, he challenges the snail to a race around the track, betting that if he wins, he and his beetle army will take over the city and claim Turbo's fame for himself. Turbo is forced to accept; worried over his inept skill on the unique track, Turbo learns the special techniques the crew members use to conquer each of the track's portions, starting to get better, but dismantling his racing shell in the process.
Loaned with a new shell by Skidmark, Turbo begins his race against Hardcase, mastering the track portions and eventually taking the lead in the final stretch. However, Hardcase resorts to a dirty tactic, having his underlings topple the track's jumbotron, trapping Turbo. With Hardcase distracted, Turbo uses the crew's techniques to gain enough speed and jump over the destroyed jumbotron, winning the race. Hardcase doesn't take the loss well, ordering his army to destroy the city. The crew fights back but are eventually surrounded until Smoove Move scares the beetles away by playing the call of the tiger beetles' natural predator through his speakers. To celebrate their victory, the crew decides to brand themselves as the Fast Action Stunt Team (F.A.S.T for short).
Trivia[]
When Turbo's racing shell is destroyed, his real shell is revealed to still have its decal stickers, despite them being removed after Turbo's shell was damaged in the film.
