DJ Catnip is a recurring character from DreamWorks•Netflix's series, Gabby's Dollhouse. DJ Catnip is the resident musician of the group, he'll make sure everyone finds their groove.

- The hoodie-wearing DJ Catnip is the group’s music specialist. From jamming on instruments to mixing up beats, Catnip uses music to help everyone find their groove, get out of troublesome situations (when the need arises), and just make sure his friends have a cat-tastic time!
Personality[]
DJ Catnip is generally energetic, fun-loving, and music-focused, as he uses music to help his friends find their groove and solve problems. However, his confidence comes from his hoodie; without it, he becomes shy and soft-spoken. He is known for his creativity in making music, from playing instruments to mixing beats.
Physical Appearance[]
DJ Catnip has lavender/medium purple fur, he wears a hot pink crimson hoodie, which has a neon pink cat-head shaped pocket in the middle. He has green eyes with light green drifting to yellow green scleras, a pale blue nose. DJ Catnip has a single fang (or as Gabby puts it "His favorite tooth" or "his lucky tooth") in his mouth. His elastic legs and tail have yellow, cyan, steel blue, and hot pink drifting to magenta stripes that glow when he's really happy or when he's showing his groove.
He also has a L E D visor that appears in some episodes and his song. The visor is black with green kitty eyes in it.
As King Catnip[]
His appearance is mainly the same but he wears a crown with a white, furry, rim with purple sideways diamonds and green circles on the side. The rim frames a gold crown with red kitty faces.
Pajamas (Animated Shorts)[]
He wears blue glittery hoodie pajamas with a moon on the chest and star shaped draw-string tips, dark magenta socks with pale magenta tips, and yellow ankles in his four legs. He also wears a dark magenta nightcap with yellow musical notes and a pale magenta pompom.
Pajamas (Series)[]
He wears blue glittery pajamas with white tips for his paws and various music notes designs. Said pajamas have a magenta pocket with a green musical note.

- His birthday is at October 5.
- So far, DJ Catnip never pulled his hood down, so up to date, what he looks like with his hood down remains a mystery.
- In "Itty Bitty Blossom", he reveals he sung a lot of things to sleep before (like cats, birds, Pandy Paws)
- We see him light up in his song and in the episode “DJ Catnip Gets His Groove Back”.
- His full name is Daniel James Catnip
- As seen in the short "Bedtime in the Dollhouse" he has a special lullaby he sings to himself before bed, which goes: 🎵Sleepy, sleepy, DJ Catnip, Go hop in bed now, with a backflip🎵
- "Bedtime in the Dollhouse" reveals he sleep on a bed shaped like a giant drum.
- In season 5, episode 2, is revealed that he can rap.
- In the Japanese dub, he rarely says "Arigatou" and commonly uses the english "Thank You" (Romaji: Sankyu)
- In DJ Catnip Learns to Swim & Conquers His Fear, it’s revealed that DJ has aquaphobia and doesn’t know how to swim. MerCat volunteers to help him.
