David Lawrence Schwimmer (born November 2, 1966) is an American actor, comedian, producer, and director, known for his distinctive nasally voice. He gained international recognition for portraying Ross Geller on the sitcom Friends, his most successful role since then.

He was previously married to Zoe Buckman, a photographer. They have a daughter together who is Cleo Buckman Schwimmer.

For DreamWorks Animation, he performed the voice of Melman in the Madagascar films and TV specials
