David John McDonald (born 18 April 1971), known professionally as David Tennant, is a Scottish actor, best known for his roles as the tenth incarnation of the Doctor in the iconic BBC1 sci-fi series Doctor Who, and for portraying Giacomo Casanova in the comedy-drama serial Casanova. He also voiced Scrooge McDuck in the Disney reboot series, DuckTales.

For DreamWorks Animation, he performed the voice of Spitelout Jorgenson in the How to Train Your Dragon franchise, and Ivar the Witless in How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World.
