Devi Cuadra is a recurrent character in the DreamWorks•Apple TV+ series, Curses!. She is the best friend of Pandora Vanderhouven.

Devi is a girl around the same age as Pandora. She has black hair and always wears a pink beret.
Role in the series[]
Devi is not seen in season 1, but is briefly mentioned by Pandora in "The Golden Baboon Head" when she recalls how animal control once removed a rabbid squirrel from Devi's attic.
In Season 2's The Persian Die Block, it is revealed the reason Devi made no physical appearance is because Pandora had to skip out on all their appointments during the summer because of the family curse and all the artifacts she, Horus Vanderhouven and Sky Vanderhouven had to return. Now that Alex Vanderhouven is back to normal, Pandora asks her parents to have Devi over for a gamenight in their house. The parents are reluctant, but ultimately agree.
The night Devi visits, Sky and Alex are away to the Paxton Museum. When Pandora and Devi want to start a board game, they find all the dices are missing. Then Devi notices a twelve-sided die block among the games and proposes they use that. Unbeknown to any of the kids, the die block is a cursed artifact forged by The Manticore, and the moment Devi rolls the block she starts the Manticore's game. The manticore turns the whole mansion into a big gameboard and locks the doors. No-one can leave till the game is over. In order not to frighten Devi or let her know about the curse, Russ and Pandora pretend they set up the game for their sleepover and it will be fun. Devi falls for it at first. She manages to solve her first riddle where she has to choose which of two chests is the correct one, but after Devi is done Russ and Pandora discover the other chest contained a venomous snake.
When Russ fails to pass a challenge where he has to throw a fig into the mouth of a statue while standing behind a branch, he is taken captive by the manticore. This makes Devi suspicious and she demands the truth about what is going on. She also wants to quit the game, but the Manticore won't let her and orders her to try the fig throwing challenge next. Devi realizes the rules only state she has to stay behind the branch, but not that she can't move it, so she moves the branch closer to the statue and easily throws the fig in the statues mouth. Pandora, with great effort, convinces Devi to keep playing as it's their only way to save Russ.
The girls complete the rest of the game and both collect the same number of seedbags. When they are about to enter the room for the final challenge, Pandora finally admits the truth to Devi about her family being cursed. Devi is not sure if she believes Pandora, but goes along with the explanation for now. The final challenge is a maze, and when the girls refuse to enter the Manticore makes the floor beneath them disappear to force the girls to keep moving. Pandora almost falls in the chasm, but Devi saves her. Sadly, Devi now falls down the chasm herself and loses the game. She, along with Russ, becomes a prisoner of the Manticore, with Pandora having to decide their fate since she won. The choice will determine who will loose their mouth forever. Pandora defeats the Manticore by abusing the loophole that the rules don't say she can't choose him. The Manticore thus looses his mouth and his game ends.
With the danger over, Devi actually had fun and agrees to meet Pandora again next weekend, but at her house just to be certain. She will keep the Vanderhouven family curse a secret.
Although Devi makes no physical appearance in "The Inuit Glasses and the Peruvian Gourd", her voice can be heard when Pandora is affected by the Peruvian Gourd and begins to hear the voices of her loved ones, including Devi, say nasty things about her.
In "Dr. Terrifico's Strength Tonic", after Russ and Pandora are shrunk by the cursed bottle of tonic and can't reach Sky on Pandora's smartphone, Russ sends Devi a message instead asking her to come to Pandora's room. Devi arrives just in time to stop Pandora's pet lizard Linda from eating Pandora. While understandably shaken to see her friends in their current state, she nevertheless agrees to help them. Russ and Pandora thus tell her the whole story about Cornelius Vanderhouven and the restricted wing, and introduce her to Larry, Stanley and Hank. Devi helps Larry search Cornelius' journals for more information on the tonic, and they thus learn that the curse came from Diana Cameron, who was swindled out of a valuable locket by Dr. Terrifico. Larry retrieves the locket from dr. Terrifico's shrunken wagon while Devi uses her smartphone to look up Diana's grave. She takes Russ and Pandora there and they return the locket, after which the curse is broken.
In "The Lapis Scarabs", Devi joins the Vanderhouvens in capturing all the lapis' scarabs that are destroying the restricted wing. She first tries to squash some under her foot, but this causes the scarabs to multiply. While the others try to catch the bugs alive, Devi guards a large urn that the scarabs are all collected in until the Vanderhouvens discover they can destroy the scarabs using Hank's melting pot.
In "The Throne of Sargon", Devi stays in Briarstone Manor to guard the restricted wing with Hank while Sky, Russ, Pandora, Larry and Stanley head for the Paxton Museum to stop Alex, whose body is taken over by Cornelius Vanderhouven. Devi is not seen again till the end of the episode, where she joins the Vanderhouvens for dinner and wonders if she can come with them on their next trip. Pandora claims she can.
