Dilophosaurus is a genus of neotheropod theropod dinosaur that appeared in the DreamWorks•Netflix's series, Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous.

Background

Behavior

Dilophosaurus has pack hunting behavior as they trail and stalk their prey. They observe their prey by popping out of the foliage curiously before they show their aggressive behavior to attack.

Physical Appearance

The Dilophosaurus is a bipedal theropod dinosaur with a pair of crests on top of its head. It has three clawed toes on each foot. Unlike the originals, the cloned Dilophosaurus has a frill around their necks similar to frilled lizards. It has a mouth full of 80 serrated teeth.

Abilities

The cloned Dilophosaurus can spit poison out of its mouth. It is known to be a fast runner.

Role in the series

In "Who's the Boss?", Darius and Kenji walk through the swamp biome until a Dilophosaurus run pass and startled them unseen. They boys continue walking through and four Dilophosaurus begin to follow them. Then the Dilophosaurus appear in front of them and two more emerge from the bushes. The Dilophosaurus raises its frills and spits poison but Darius use his wooden shield to block it. The rest of the pack begins to spit poison and the two boys begin run for their lives. The Dilophosaurus pack chases after them through the swamp until Mae, Ben, and Pierce appear from the platform. The Dilophosaurus spit poison but Kenji block it with his wooden shield. Kenji then throws a ball at one of them and made it angry. As the Dilophosaurus pack corners them, they both got their attention to the honking vehicle arriving to them which Brooklynn, Yasmina, and Sammy driving it to the rescue. The girls then scare the Dilophosaurus pack with the vehicle's honking and retreat into the swamp.

In "Out of the Pack", Lewis managed to find the barbasol can with dinosaur embryos on Isla Nublar until a Dilophosaurus pack emerged from the bushes and starts to attack the crew. They pack begins to chase them as one of them blocks Lewis and Hawkes. Hawkes tries to fire it but has no ammo until another Dilophosaurus jumps at him. While Lewis hides behind a tree, he then encounters another Dilophosaurus and was almost about to attack but he was saved by Daniel using a flare and scares it away.
