'''Edwina the Hen''' was an innocent hen, who laid eggs. She was taken away by [[Mr. Tweedy]] for not laying eggs, and was handed to [[Mrs. Tweedy]] by the neck. Edwina was taken to the slaughterhouse by Mrs, Tweedy, who took an axe and chopped the poor hen's head off, killing her and ending her life. Her delicious flesh was then cooked and devoured by the Tweedys, leaving nothing of her but a dead skeleton on a dinner plate.

Edwina was a character in Chicken Run. She is a white chicken with a green necklace around her neck. She was killed by Mrs. Tweedy at the beginning of the film and eaten by Mr. Tweedy, because she was no longer able to lay eggs, so she was no longer useful to their cause. She refused to inform her fellow hens of her infertility, either because she didn't want to make them look infertile, and risk their lives, or because life at the farm had made her suicidally depressed.
