Sir Elton Hercules John (born: Reginald Kenneth Dwight; March 25, 1947) is a British singer, songwriter and pianist. Acclaimed by critics and musicians, particularly for his work during the 1970s, his music and showmanship have had a significant, lasting impact on the music industry. With a music career of over 50 years and counting, Elton is recognized as one of the best-selling music artists of all time.
With lyricist Tim Rice, Elton John has composed the majority of the soundtrack to the 2000 DreamWorks animated film, The Road to El Dorado, in which he was also credited as the Singing Narrator.
