Fake Archibald Asparagus is a minor character in the Big Idea franchise, VeggieTales in the City. He is a doppelganger of Archibald Asparagus, basically a costume made by Aprilcot.
Background[]
Fake Archibald was part of Aprilcot's "Operation: Fake Mayor" so she can gain control of the Veggie House. He tricks the League of Veggie Heroes and Madame Clueberry that he was having a daily tree climb, and dropped his monocle in the Koi Pond. Clueberry was rather suspicious with the Mayor's behavior when he placed the monocle on the wrong side, but Larry-Boy just shrugged it off. He discovered that Archibald was actually Aprilcot when she gave the heroes bedtime tea to make them go to sleep. With that done, she was able to finish her operation by going back into her disguise and telling everyone to obey "his rules". The plan went well until the real Archibald showed up, and had a fight with the doppelganger. Clueberry was able to show the fake Archibald's true colors when she revealed the zipper, foiling Aprilcot's plan.
The costume's fate afterwards is currently unknown.
Psychical Appearance[]
Fake Archibald Asparagus has the same physical appearance as the real one, but wears a blue scarf around his neck, so he can hide the zipper behind him. According to the real Archibald, he had scary eyebrows.
Trivia[]
- It is unknown how Aprilcot was able to replicate Archibald's voice. The only two explanations is that she is either a good impersonator or the costume had a voice modulator that can replicate the voice.
- How Aprilcot was able to fit into the costume is unknown, as she has more width in her body than Archibald.
- The way that Fake Archibald wears his scarf is similar to Willory, one of the characters the real Archibald played.
