In Jailhouse Panda, Shifu shows Po the Shift Stones and let him use one of them and shows him how they work by concentrating which turned him into Sheng. Po decided to use the stone to disguise as the criminal to prison.
In Master and the Panda, Po then uses the Shift Stone to disguise as Zeng to hide from Peng.
