God is an important character in Joseph: King of Dreams and The Prince of Egypt.  "He" is omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscience and omnibenevelent and loves all things and is the sole creator of all things.  He is the Father of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob. Though He's is not seen, His voice is portrayed by Val Kilmer (same voice of Moses).

Personality

God is by far the most paitent being ever known. He is also gentle and kind to His "children" (followers, the Hebrews).  No one knows what God truely is or looks like, but He is loving, and strides to inspire good.

Role in Film

Though hard to believe at first, God was in almost every scene of the movie (i.e. when the basket that carried baby Moses was in the Nile, God made sure the basket made it to shore safely by making all those "coincidences" happen). God was then seen in the form of cool, white fire on a bush (called the Burning Bush). God told Moses that He has heard the cries of His children and He asked Moses to be the messenger. Moses thinks this is a mistake but God convinced his otherwise. Moses did God's "wonders" in Egypt (including 7 plagues and the Angel of Death) and eventually, Ramesses allowed Moses and the Hebrews freedom. God's wonders were done once more when the Hebrews were crossing the Red Sea. When Ramesses and his soldiers trieed to follow the Hebrews, God closed the high walls and the soldiers all drowned, leaving Ramesses on shore in defeat. Finally, God gives Moses the 10 Commandments and the film ends there.
