Joey the Kangaroo is a secondary antagonist in the DreamWorks•Nickelodeon's series, The Penguins of Madagascar. He is a red kangaroo with a bad personality. He has orange and beige fur, and speaks with an Australian accent. His favorite food is shrub.

Joey is very short-tempered, he strongly hates when anyone trespasses into his habitat. He likes beating up others, even wanting to take on Officer X (as seen in "Cat's Cradle"). He even beat up King Julien when he was cleaning out Joey's pouch.
Trivia[]
- Even though he is a male kangaroo, he has a pouch, but only female kangaroos have pouches. This is either a fail on the part of the animators, or a little bit of genius with Joey being angry about being mistaken for a male despite everything else.
- Joey usually speaks in third person.
