The Kitty is a minor character in the 2022 DreamWorks film, The Bad Guys and its 2025 sequel. He is an orange tabby cat, who formerly lives in Marmalade's compound, until Mr. Wolf saves and adopts him.
Background[]
He was seen stuck up in a tree as one of the Bad Guys good training, but was too scared to be saved by them.
Later at night, Mr. Wolf saves him with kindness and soon, gives him his trust. During the meteorite heist, the Kitty is seen up in the tree again until Wolf saves him for the second time until he was entrusted to Diane after Wolf and his friends turn themselves in to the police to protect Diane's secret past criminal life.
In the mid-credits scene, Diane arrives at the prison cell in a new version of the Bad Guys mobile with the Kitty excitedly jumping into Wolf's arms.
In The Bad Guys 2, he is seen living with the Bad Guys in their old lair and Wolf gives him some affectionate scratches when he sits on his lap. He is not seen again for the rest of the movie.
Personality[]
At first, the Kitty was shown to be easily intimidated, as he got scared of the Bad Guys when they tried to save him in their good training. But at night, when Wolf decided to try again for the second time by showing an act of kindness, the Kitty lets him save him from the tree. In the heist of the meteorite, the Kitty became more trusting when Wolf called him down from the same tree and accompanied him and the gang to stop Marmalade's biggest heist, then on a mission to save Snake from Marmalade.
Like Wolf, the Kitty loves a good scratch behind the ears. He also loves to cuddle Wolf and nibble on his fingers.
Physical Appearance[]
The Kitty has the normal appearance of a typical orange tabby cat with white on his underbelly and his muzzle, black eyes and a light pink nose. He wears a blue collar with a circular tag.
In The Bad Guys 2, he is shown to have more white fur on the top of his head.
Relationships[]
Mr. Wolf[]
At first, the Kitty was scared of Wolf, as well as the other Bad Guys, that he scratched him on the face before hurrying back up in the tree. But as Wolf tries again to save him (only this time, in a good kind of way), the Kitty begins to trust Wolf and starts to grow a special bond with him. At the mid-credit scene, the Kitty is seen in the newly built Bad Guys mobile, glad to see Wolf that he jumped into his arms and rubs his face against his. In The Bad Guys 2, Kitty rests on Wolf's lap after he returns from his failed job interview and Wolf give him some affectionate scratches.
Mr. Snake[]
Like the other Bad Guys, the Kitty was scared of Mr. Snake, especially when he heard him say to Marmalade that eating him with two pieces of bread he carries with him will give him a good tingle. But later, after Wolf saves him from the tree, the Kitty begins to warm up to the Bad Guys, including Snake.
Ms. Tarantula[]
Not much is known between the Kitty and Webs, but like with the other Bad Guys, he was once scared of her during the good training in Marmalade's compound until he warmed up to her and the rest of the gang.
Mr. Shark[]
Not much is known between Kitty and Shark, but he never minds him rubs on his head when he warmed up to him and the other Bad Guys.
Mr. Piranha[]
Kitty got scared of Piranha yelling "WHAT'S UP PAPA?!" in his face that he made him jump out of the tree and land on Wolf's face, then scratch him . Later, at the meteorite heist, after Wolf saved Kitty from the tree again, he puts sunglasses over his eyes while letting Piranha pat him on the head.
Diane Foxington[]
Diane takes care of Kitty while Mr. Wolf and his friends are in jail for sentence of good behavior. He enjoys having his back of his ear scratched by Diane and cuddling in her arms, just like with Wolf. As evidenced by Diane's phone wallpaper in The Bad Guys 2, she has become really close to Kitty in the year that the Bad Guys were in prison.
Trivia[]
- In the movie junior novelization, the cat is female, while it's male in the film.
- One of The Bad Guys 2 deleted scenes states that the cat’s name is Dolphin.
