Lemurs are a primate unique to the island of Madagascar. They have been featured in the film Madagascar and its two sequels, Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa and Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted, as well as the TV series The Penguins of Madagascar.
The types of lemurs shown are as follows:
- King Julien XIII, self-proclaimed King of the lemurs, is a Ring-tailed lemur.
- Maurice, assistant and herald for Julien, is an Aye-aye lemur.
- Mort is a Mouse lemur that adores Julien, more specifically, Julien's feet.
- Clemson is a Bamboo lemur that appears in the episodes "Right Hand Man", "The Hoboken Surprise" and "King Me" of The Penguins of Madagascar.
- Willie is a lemur with a reddish-orange body, yellow face and green eyes.
