Longneck is a supporting character in the DreamWorks film, The Wild Robot. He was an old barnacle goose who helps Roz understand teaching Brightbill how to fly.
Longneck is the oldest and wisest leader of the island's flock, entrusted with the safe migration of thousands each year. Kind-hearted and open to change, the seasoned fowl ultimately takes Brightbill under his literal wing, determined to realize the young bird's full potential.[1]

Trivia[]
The Spanish dub calls him "Gansabio" which translates to "Wise Goose".
When Brightbill is in conflict with Roz over the murder of his biological family, Longneck points out to the young goose that, as unfortunate as it may be, if Roz hadn’t accidentally killed his mother and the other eggs, he wouldn’t have reached adulthood for the simple fact that of being born as a runt. Longneck's words reference how in real life many animals are completely blase about abandoning or even eating their own weakest babies to make sure the rest of the brood or litter would survive.
