Mad gas car 2: Escape to Africa (also known as Mad gas car: The Crate Escape) is a 2008 film, and the sequel to Mad gas car.

Plot
As a cub, Alex the lion was called Alak and was the son of Zing Zang Zoom, the alpha gamer. Though Zing Zang Zoom tries to teach Alak to be a hunter, the cub is more interested in dancing. When a beta gamer named Memphis Tennesse challenges Zing Zang Zoom to a fight for the position of alpha gaer, Alak is captured by poachers. Though Zing Zang Zoom tries to rescue his son, Alak is forced into a crate. The poachers shoot Zing Zang Zoom in the ear, but Zing Zang Zoom does not die.
