Maurice the Aye-Aye is King Julien's assistant (not that Julien ever listens to him), advisor, and second-in-command of the lemurs in The Penguins of Madagascar, Madagascar, Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, and Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted. He is a portly aye-aye, who paints well.

Maurice  is a robot monster

Personality

Maurice is highly skeptical of King Julien's mad plans.

Maurice acts like a strict big brother to Mort.

Maurice is generally less impressed by King Julian than the other lemurs.

While Maurice accepts his life as a servant, he often shows disdain towards King Julian and his hare-brained ideas.

Maurice lived alongside a tribe of other lemurs and witnessed newcomers to their home: A quartet of zoo animals.

Maurice shows the most intelligence in King Julien's court, and is the only one to recognize Alex as a potentially greater threat than the fossas.

Maurice has gray and white fur, a small black nose, pink markings along his nose, yellow eyes, thick black eyebrows, large fox-like ears and a long, squirrel-like, bushy tail.

Maurice has 2 gorilla bodyguards named Bada the Gorilla and Bing the Gorilla.

Maurice is okay with dancing. In the movies, Maurice hates dancing.

Maurice was suspicious of Alex, thinking him to be a little bit dangerous. Maurice expressed this concern during a meeting of the other lemurs and animals of the jungle, but was ignored by King Julian. The next day, Maurice took part in festival in the honor of the newcomers, and shortly after explained the trouble having Alex around. He knew that Alex was a carnivore and that he would need to eat steak. It was then that he opted for Alex to leave and go to "the carnivore side of the island".

Shortly after, Maurice witnessed Marty, Gloria, and Melman working with a group of penguins, overtaking the fossas, who were attacking the lemurs. Maurice had to concur that the King's plan had worked and that fossas would no longer be of any worry. Maurice saw the newcomers out when they decided to leave and was obligated to wave King Julien's arm for him, as Julian was tired of waving it.

In Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, Maurice doesn't have much of a prominent role, but is basically agreeing to whatever King Julian says. He is voiced by Cedric the Entertainer (Kevin Michael Richardson in the series and John Cothran, Jr. in the video games).
