I’m contacting you, because we want to get off on the right foot the year and after all the feedback received at Community Connect, we want to know more about the current status of the communities. First step is to analyze the previous year, so we would like to hear from you about 2019. It’s so important for us to know what’s your opinion about the work that we did in 2019. It has been a year of a lot of changes and we would like to continue working in the right direction and find solutions to any problem detected by you in the last year.
We know that you could have questions about the UCP too, please feel free to ask me anything about it and I will share your concerns, comments and questions with the other Community Managers in order to obtain an answer as soon as possible.
Finally, also I would like to invite you to rate the last year in Fandom from 1 to 5, meaning 1 as "definitely not good" and 5 like "this has been a fantastic year!". It would be super helpful for our work.
BTW, if you haven’t joined us on Discord, feel free to do it, we plan to run some new projects there and use it as platform to communicate important things to TV/Movies communities, so you will be welcome to our server!
And like I said, let me know if you have any question. I will be happy to help you.
He had it coming; as I already said, he has a history of this egocentric behaviour, which got him blocked from the Pixar Wiki five years ago, and I wouldn't be surprised if he's blocked elsewhere.
I don't like performing actions which might seem too heavy-handed, but I have no regrets on this one. Apart from anything else, Red Hair appears to have taken my user name too literally; it's one of the standard types of joke user name, that of prefixing "evil" to something small, cute and furry. I originally considered "evilbunny", but too many others have used that one.
Hey there! Just checking in to see if I can help with anything leading to the release of Abominable! The movie looks like it'll be a hit with fans and it would be great to have the wiki prepared for that. Have you got anything in mind you would want help with? :)
Hi again! I'm just dropping by to let you know of a new scheme introduced at Fandom called Editor Rewards. This is a great new scheme designed to reward editors on Fandom, with merchandise ranging from free video games, hoodies, collectibles, and more!
To find out more about the scheme, please feel free to read the Introduction to Editor Rewards blog post Fandom staff posted. Also, please do leave feedback in the comments section of that blog as staff will be able to respond quickly and answer any questions you may have.
This feature includes some really insightful statistics that should allow you guys to inform some wiki decisions, such as:
Top viewed pages
# of page views (daily over the past 30 days)
Most visited files
Desktop vs mobile sessions
So as I mentioned above, this feature is really great as it allows you to see what areas are doing very well and how you can capitalise on them. For example, the tool shows the majority of your readerbase view the wiki from mobile phones (55%). You can really help those readers out by adding a Mobile Main Page to the wiki to help those users navigate the wiki easier. :)
Hopefully you like this feature, it's been highly requested for some time and we would really appreciate your feedback on it. For more help with it, please feel free to ask me questions and also refer to these two super useful articles:
It seems to me, that you clearly do not understand that this wiki site was created by the fans, for the fans. But I too understand that there was a historical timeline that I was unawarre of on this page, but how about we compromise?
What I mean is, we add some elements of the timeline I created and apply them to the historical timeline that I discovered. If you find some merti in this, don't hesitate to tell me.
And as for that Pixar theory comment you made, bare in mind that there it AN OFFICIAL BOOK that talks about it, writtten by either someone who's as passionate as the fans or an official member of the team at Pixar. So calling it rubbish would be like calling Pixar and its entire fanbase rubbish, and that offends me, because before Dreamworks, Pixar was the number one studio in computer animation.
So, sir/ma'am, do you have a rebutle for this arguement?
When you created the page, you put in a statement that said the timeline was your opinion. Based on that, I took out the deletion notice and moved it into your blog.
I think the distinction that everyone needs to remember is that regular pages are for the officially-released information/subjects. Other things like your timeline need to go in personal areas like blogs. That way, we avoid situations like where people put fan fiction in with the official information, but because they don't give a reason why they're adding it like "this is my idea for a new character", it gets treated like false information or vandalism.
Regarding The Pixar Theory, Jon Negroni worked enough on his theory that it was well thought-out and reasoned and could be published as a book. It's an independent book and not one officially-released by Pixar. Unless Pixar were to issue a statement that they really did make all of their movies in the same universe, it's just a really neat theory.
So, keep working on the page which is now in your blog area. You might be able to publish it one day as well.
Thanks for the information, but I truly feel that I was completely unaware of a historical timeline that was all ready in place, and I also feel that as I improve the timeline, I seem to find specific times in which certain things take place. And I just want to say that this timeline I created can be added to and improved by anyone and everyone.
