Morris is a minor antagonist in the DreamWorks video game, Madagascar. He is a martial arts teacher who challenged Marty in the two levels Back to The Beach and Marty to The Rescue.
Background[]
Morris is first seen in the Crocs' lair where Marty comes to find a piece for the beacon and challenges him to a battle. He sends two of his pupils to defeat Marty in martial arts and despite their techniques, Marty was able to defeat them both. Morris then begins battling Marty himself only to get defeated by the latter. Defeated, he deems him an honorable opponent and leaves him a piece of the beacon to collect.
Some time later, he found his way to the "No Chance of Survival" trail and catches up to Marty and Mort where he captured Mort. He lures Marty to a slide where he challenges him once again and this time to race the slide while putting Mort in his mouth, announcing that the winner would have the right to eat Mort. So he races Marty to the bottom of the slide and Marty was able to beat him to it. Shown honorable towards him again, he pulls Mort out of his mouth, sparing his life as he keeps his word and leaves.
Though he was not seen again, one of his pupils, Crocky, served as a playable character in the shuffleboard minigame.
Physical Appearance[]
Different from the other crocodiles, Morris is depicted as an albino crocodile with white skin and pink eyes.
Trivia[]
- Mort claims to have been inside Morris' mouth on more than one occasion.
- Morris is the first and currently only albino in the Madagascar franchise. Although crocodiles are natural enemies of zebras, Morris has never shown any intention of wanting to eat Marty. This further emphasizes that the two are rivals in the game rather than arch-enemies.
- Morris is the first Crocodile within the franchise after King Croc Roger and Crocodile Ambassador.
- Morris is the only character within the franchise to fight karate.
- Morris' theme songs are reminiscent of songs from Kung Fu Panda.
