Phoenix is a minor character in the DreamWorks film, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.
Background[]
Personality[]
As stated by the Ethical Bug, the Phoenix is a noble being as she stands right up, proudly. Although after being abused by Jack Horner, she shows utter contempt towards the man.
Role in the film[]
At some point prior to the film, Jack managed to obtain the Phoenix and stored her as part of his collection. Puss encountered the Phoenix, trapped in a cage, when he was sneaking into Jack's office to get the Map to the Wishing Star.
After the map was stolen, Jack took all his magical items, including his Phoenix with him and headed off toward the Wishing Star. Jack took the Phoenix and choked the bird to force it to burn the Pocket Full O' Posies.
The Phoenix returned along with the Ethical Bug to confront Jack and burned the map to ensure Jack would never had his wish granted. Afterwards, the Phoenix probably flew away, finally freed.
Trivia[]
- The creature was referenced in "Swamp Talk". He was "called out" by Donkey for constantly setting places on fire. Shrek informs that the Phoenix is a creature that is reborn over and over again. Also since the bird is fire-based, whenever he burns things, he's just being clumsy.
- The creature's appearance is identical to Fawkes from the Harry Potter series who is in the series belongs to the headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Professor Albus Dumbledore.
