The President Hathaway is a supporting character in the DreamWorks film, Monsters vs. Aliens. He is the impulsive and dimwitted President of the United States.
When Gallaxhar's Robot Probe landed on earth, he tried to make first contact with it by playing "Axel F" on a keyboard, but to no avail. After Gallaxhar was defeated, he accidentally pressed the button that launches all of the military's nuclear missiles, ending the world. He calmly asks the audience who wants to freeze his head while he waits in his bunker for 500 years.

His facial features resemble those of his voice actor, Stephen Colbert, and his personality is inspired by Colbert's character on The Colbert Report.
