The Purple Death is known to be aggressive. Many Vikings believed that it was the Serpent of Midgard which will bring Ragnarok.
Physical Appearance[]
The Purple Death is a massive dragon. It's so big that it has been known to cause seaquakes. It has long tendrils that extend from its lower jaw. The Purple Death has deep purple skin that is made up of coral-like overlapping plates. It has a curved nasal horn and bright yellow eyes. Unlike most dragons, the Purple Death has no wings.

The Purple Death is known to swim underwater. It can breathe explosive fire. The Purple Death is capable of creating seaquakes.

The Legend of Ragnarok[]
According to legend, the Purple Death would emerge from the seas one day and cause Ragnarok throughout Norse mythology which means the end of the world. When Berk experiences tremors, the villagers believe that Ragnarok will finally come to them. Meanwhile, the Purple Death has destroyed plenty of ships and it is heading towards Berk. After a long battle with the Purple Death, Hiccup uses a trained Changewing named Phantom to hypnotize the Purple Death to sleep.
Dragons: Rise of Berk[]
The Purple Death was featured in the game as a Legendary Dragon in 2018. It unlocks the Marooned Dragons via collections, a new logging spot, and gives 2x amount of amber for each Legendary Dragon search.
