Queen Luxia is a recurring character in DreamWorks•Netflix's series, Voltron: Legendary Defender. She is queen of the Mer Aliens.

Queen Luxia is a kind and welcoming Mer. She loves to connect with the different being from other worlds. Queen Luxia chooses to become the queen that her people really deserve. She made amends by offering to help others find their friends.
Physical Appearance[]
Queen Luxia is a mermaid-like alien with shiny blue eyes. She has a purple V-like crest on her forehead.
Abilities[]
Like all Mers, Queen Luxia has the ability to speak and breathe underwater. She can swim faster underwater and can survive in cold waters.
Role in the series[]
In "The Depths", when sea serpent-like monster called the Baku landed in the garden of her kingdom, it began to produce a plant that brainwashed her and her people. Then it began to use her people for food. Queen Luxia greets Lance and Hunk by introducing herself and welcomes them to her village as honored guests. Hunk asks Queen Luxia about contacting with their friends and then she replied that she'll can solve their problems and saying that they are safe and warm. Queen Luxia offered them bubble coral which provides them all the air they need. She then informs them that they're lions will be protected as they get transported and tells them to follow her. Lance then asks Queen Luxia about the mysterious garden and she answers that it is the Baku Garden which is giver of life to her people. She then explains when the waters froze over, they were forced to live down there and the garden provides them warmth and food they need to survive. As the result, they were taken care of and Queen Luxia relied "we are safe and warm". Queen Luxia, Lance, and Hunk have dinner together. Hunk enjoys eating the food and tells the queen that food is amazing which Queen Luxia was pleased that he enjoyed it and informs him that it was picked fresh from the Baku Garden. She then shows them the entertainment of the two alien octopuses dancing. Hunk informs the queen about contacting with their friends and she replied that they'll discuss it after the dance as the octopus lights up its tentacles towards him. Queen Luxia was pleased that Hunk enjoyed the dance and tells him to let his conscious drift which lost track on what they were talking about. Queen Luxia tells him that how much he likes likes here and hiw much he wanted to stay here.
Queen Luxia and Florona then arrived back arrived back in the room and Hunk stuck in a hole. Queen Luxia realizes that there was a break in and the cave dwellers have taken Lance. Florona asks her queen what they should do and she replied that the mermaids are harmless and the airbreather can be troublesome if he is not under their control. Hunk asks about who is will be under their control and needs to find Lance but the Queen Luxia tells that they will. She tells him not to worry and tells him to sit down, eat, and talk. Hunk then easily calm down as he eats and the queen watches him at peace. She then tells them that they will come and declares that the intruders must be destroyed and bring Lance under their control. Queen Luxia has the first thing to do for Florona who was in charge of watching the two Paladins and order her to swim in the garden as a punishment.
Queen Luxia takes Florona to the garden and saying goodbye to her as she watches.
Lance got captured and brought to the queen. She orders Hunk to take him to the Baku Garden who is under mind control. Lance begins to fight back and Queen Luxia orders everyone to capture him.
Lance, Hunk, and Plaxum begin to capture the queen after retrieving their lions and then Plaxum uses slingshot two fish to release the green gas and then she uses the alien jellyfish to lasso her. After being captured, Queen Luxia wakes up and wonders what's going on. Plaxum explains her that she is no longer mind controlling her people but the queen does not realize it and tells her that they must go back. Queen Luxia tells Plaxum that she wasn't controlling anyone and realizes it was the Baku. She then explains as she remembers that the Baku fallen from space and went to inspect and she thought it was a plant until she is under mind control. Queen Luxia sees that the Baku has been harvesting them making her people its food source. As the Baku began to terrorize her kingdom, both Queen Luxia and Plaxum swim to safety as Lance and Hunk battle it.
After defeating the Baku, Queen Luxia thanking both Lance and Hunk for freeing her people and will do all she can to protect that freedom. She then vows to the voice of her people and asks both Plaxum, Blumfump, and Swirn to be ber advisors and they agreed. In return, Queen Luxia helped Lance and Hunk find their friends by using the ancient energy beacon to contact them. She then sees Pidge and the green lion has arrived.
In The Feud!, Queen Luxia was briefly in Bob's sponsorship at the ending.
