Quetzalcoatlus is a genus of pterosaur that appeared in DreamWorks Animation media, and Netflix series in Jurassic World: Chaos Theory.
Background[]
Physical Appearance[]
The Quetzalcoatlus in the Jurassic World films and Dominion BioSyn Expansion has a distinct appearance with a prominent head crest, a long, toothless beak, and a long neck, with the most prominent visual detail being its large, leathery wings. Its body is covered in fine, light grey "pycnofibers," with some variations in the color of the wings and crest including black and light orange in the Dominion version, and a light, feathery texture on the body and head in the Rebirth version. It is a massive creature, comparable in size to a giraffe, and its flight is supported by a long, elongated fourth finger.
Behavior[]
In the skies, few creatures dared to challenge Quetzalcoatlus — a soaring apex predator that dominated the air with power and precision. These pterosaurs were not picky eaters; they hunted live prey with ruthless efficiency, yet had no qualms about scavenging the remains of the dead.
