- “I am already home. And I am a Wild Robot. Owooooo!”
- ―Roz telling the RECOS who she is.
ROZZUM unit 7134, also known as Roz, is the titular protagonist in the DreamWorks film, The Wild Robot. She is an abandoned robot that was washed onto a forest island and learns to adapt to the new environment, partially by using her processing ability to learn how to communicate with the native animals, and becomes the adoptive mother of Brightbill.
Background[]
Roz was initially produced as "ROZZUM unit 7134", a humanoid robot with unspecified purpose. She was then shipped inside a crate which opened up after a shipwreck, waking her up on an uninhabited island full of wildlife. She then struggles to survive through her preset program and functions. She later encounters a wild gosling whom she named "Brightbill", and decided to raise him until he learns to fly. Throughout their many journeys, Roz and Brightbill encounter various obstacles that they must face, including the RECOs and their leader, Vontra.
Official Description[]
- Roz is a sophisticated piece of technology who washes up on an island solely inhabited by animals. Longing for a purpose, the sentient machine forges relationships with the local wildlife and becomes the adoptive mother of a newly-hatched gosling named Brightbill.[1]
Physical Appearance[]
Roz is a white humanoid mouthless robot with a small head, a round body, and extending arms and legs.

Trivia[]
- She is the first robot, and thus the first genderless protagonist in a DreamWorks Animation feature film.
- The name of her product line, ROZZUM, and manufacturer, Universal Dynamics, are both references to the Czech play Rossum's Universal Robots, where the term "robot" originates.
