The Submaripper is a Tidal and Tracker Class dragon that appeared in DreamWorks•Netflix's series, Dragons: Race to the Edge.

Background

Official Description

Hailing from the Tidal Class, the Submaripper has sent many a Viking to a watery grave with its ability to create inescapable whirlpools. Just watch out for its gas bubbles!

This dragon is bulky, brawny, and brutal. It can decimate opponents by drawing them near and attacking with one of its mighty limbs or its Viking-size teeth.

Role in the series

In "Dire Straits", Viggo gets tired of the Dragon Riders attacking his operations and so Viggo captured a Submaripper and have it chained in the Straits of Baldur to prevent trade ships from reaching Berk.

The Submaripper created bubbling odor and then created a whirl and suck in three trade ships but only Johann managed to escaped.
