Suchomimus

Suchomimus is a genus of spinosaurid theropod dinosaur that appeared in DreamWorks•Netflix's series, Jurassic World: Chaos Theory.

Background[]

Behavior[]

Like many spinosaurids, Suchomimus primarily eats fish but can hunt land animals as well. They are known to ambush their prey.

Physical Appearance[]

Suchomimus has a long narrow crocodile-like snout. Like all theropods, it is a bipedal dinosaur with three toes on each foot. They have a hook-shaped claw on their thumbs.

Role in the series[]

Suchomimus along with the many prehistoric animals that were rescued from Isla Nublar during the eruption. Then they escaped Lockwood Manor and run loose in the mainland along with the other dinosaurs.

In "The End of the Beginning", Suchomimus escaped from its containment box and begins to chase after them. They hide underneath the truck and the Suchomimus couldn't reach them. Then Suchomimus was about to attack Parasaurolophus as it bites hold on it but faces a Carnotaurus. Carnotaurus rammed Suchomimus which causes it to press the green button to release Tyrannosaurus rex that was in there. Suchomimus along with the other dinosaurs escaped the docks.

In "Batten Down the Hatches", as Ben approaches an opened crate which reveals to be another Suchomimus and scared him. However, the Suchomimus was scared and remains inside the crate probably from the lightning storm as Ben closes the door.

In "The Marooned Five", a Suchomimus emerged from the jungle and enters Zayna's farm.

Suchomimus then walks in and then begins to drink from the farmland. It then continues to walk around and then resumes drinking. Darius, Kenji, Sammy, and Yasmina begin their plan to distract the Suchomimus while it is drinking. Yaz and Sammy begin to give Suchomimus an attention and was about to attack until it got hit by rocks by Darius and Kenji. It begins to chase Darius and Kenji into the jungle and then they got pass a big rock to slow it down. The Suchomimus climbs up the big rock to reach Kenji but Kenji outsmarted it and fell over. Suchomimus then corners them from the front to prevent them from running away. Zayna and and her mother brought back the three Stegosauruses and fights off the Suchomimus until it eventually gave up and retreats.

In "Up the River", Suchomimus killed Sullivan at a restaurant. Suchomimus then killed a Pteranodon before it can attack them and emerged from the jungle.

Suchomimus then begins to chase them until it got tripped over by a canoe and moves it away. Kenji begins to face it using a flashlight at it and Suchomimus begins to chase after him. Suchomimus continues to attack Darius and Kenji inside the restaurant until it faces against the hippopotamus instead as they clash their mouths. Yaz got hit by the Suchomimus tail which knocked her out. Darius and Kenji entered the canoe and escaped while Suchomimus and the hippopotamus fight each other leaving Yasmina behind.

In "All Night Long", Yasmina regained conscious and sees Suchomimus eating the hippopotamus. It start scenting sniffing for her.

Yaz begins hide quietly in the bushes while Suchomimus looks around. It shakes away the water all over its body and rubs its back at a tree. Then Suchomimus goes to sleep as Yasmina starts to the flashlight. As Yaz tries to reach the flashlight, Suchomimus move its tail and drags the flashlight closer to it. Yaz managed to grab the flashlight and the Suchomimus yawns while moving its tail.

Yasmina dropped the flashlight on the ground and the Suchomimus woke up by it. The Suchomimus killed a Dimorphodon before it could attack Yasmina. The Suchomimus sees her and Yasmina hides in the restaurant.

Yaz continues to hide in the restaurant as the Suchomimus searches for her. She then uses the flashlight to distract the Suchomimus as she hides underneath the canoe. The Suchomimus noticed the moving canoe and begins to lift it which Yaz begins to run into the water. However, the Suchomimus enters the river revealing that it is a swimmer and Yaz then begins to paddle her legs. Suchomimus swims after her but Yaz managed to get out of the water and hide in the tree roots. Suchomimus lost sight of her and begins to swim away.

The group heads for the canoes until the Suchomimus appeared out of the water and begins to corner them. However, Suchomimus then noticed a Majungasaurus and they begin to fight each other. Then Majungasaurus killed Suchomimus with one bite.

In "Excess Baggage", a Suchomimus was captured and being transported on a transport truck before being picked up by a cargo plane.
