Sugar is a gingerbread girl who was Gingy's love interest in the DreamWorks short, Scared Shrekless story "The Bride of Gingy."

Sugar became Gingy's girlfriend when Gingy explains to the Muffin Man that his other girlfriend kicked him out because he only cared about himself. To that, he makes Gingy a new girlfriend. Gingy thought of adding lots of sugar to the gingerbread batter to make his girlfriend really sweet, despite the Muffin Man's objections. Once Sugar is born, she falls in love with Gingy. At first, Gingy is overjoyed, but gets uncomfortable with Sugar becoming overly attached to him. He finally escapes and gets over it by knocking her into the mixer which created thousands of zombie clones of herself that attacked Gingy and ate him.

Other Appearences

She makes a cameo appearence in the Royal Carribean cruise commercial for The Dreamworks Experience.

Trivia

• Although she never may have existed, she still might be proof that scientific experiments do take place in the Shrek universe. This could imply that the Muffin Man created Gingy (as well as Mongo) through means of science and not magic.
• Contrary to popular belief, Sugar is unable to lactate for it will kill her.
