Launchtime[]
"Launchtime" is the second episode from Season 1 of The Penguins of Madagascar.
Synopsis[]
Sick of Julien's annoying presence, the penguins decide to take a vacation on The Moon. Once there, they meet a "moon cat" who seems to have some strange plans for the flightless birds.
Plot[]
Annoyed with King Julien's constant harassment and "borrowing" of their possessions, the Penguins decide to escape to the moon. They build a rocket called the "Penguin One" in order to travel to the moon. After lift-off, the Penguins don't realize that they only made it to the top of a short building where they meet Max the Cat.
Max the Cat is depressed as he cannot catch flying birds. He wishes upon a shooting star (actually Penguin One) for flightless birds. After nearly being crushed by the Penguin One, Max sees the Penguins and believes his wish has been granted.
Max stalks and attempts to eat Private and fails miserably. After being discovered by the others, Max invites them into his home where he attempts to force Private into a microwave. Skipper remembers about Julien and thinks that he needs to sign on "Moon Cat's" good neighbor policy. When the Penguins are leaving, Max is upset, knowing that he's a total failure at catching even flightless birds. But when Rico gives him a container of fish for his good hospitality, Max accepts it and becomes their friends instead of their food.
The Penguins leave the "moon" and crash in the Zoo. They find the Lemurs trying to steal their TV but Max's "Moon-cat Hospitality" has convinced Skipper to be more neighborly and let them have the TV. However, Skipper hears a helicopter and looks up to see Max waving at them, thanking them for the fish. Skipper realizes they had never been to the moon and there was no such thing as "Moon-cat Hospitality" (Kowalski forgot to carry the two). Skipper orders his men to commence Operation: Hammerhead which involves Rico coughing up a hammer and chasing the lemurs down until, most likely, they start hammering them.
Haunted Habitat[]
"Haunted Habitat" is the third episode of Season 1 from The Penguins of Madagascar.
Plot[]
Marlene believes her habitat is haunted. After hearing a blood curdling scream the penguins come to investigate. Shortly after, the lemurs come in and King Julien does a ritualistic dance accompanied by a song to appease the sky spirits and remove the spirits. The penguins leave Marlene alone with the lemurs.
After Marlene screams again, the penguins decide her habitat is still haunted. Julien, convinced he could not have failed, believes it must be a new specter. The penguins seed them out and decide to camp out over night. After being awoken by Marlene's snores, the penguins and Marlene hear a moan coming from the sewers. Skipper drops one stick of T.N.T. to show the specter "that we mean business". The resulting explosion throws the sewer grate into the roof and Skipper and Marlene peer into the sewer. After a few seconds the grating falls down and knocks them into the sewer.
After Marlene rescues an unconscious Skipper, they soon find a black silhouetted alligator and try to escape from it, believing it to be a ghost. Marlene figures out that the specter is afraid of her snoring and plays Skipper's tape recording of her snoring. The "specter" is revealed to be an alligator named Roger, who is terrified of Marlene's snoring. After a short exchange, Rico, Private, and Kowalski tie up Roger. Skipper chuckles and comments that they are "tardy to the party" and that Marlene and he have the situation under control.
They are all soon back in Marlene's home and make friends with Roger and Skipper "compliments" Marlene. In the end, the lemurs are shown outside Marlene's home about to sneak into the sewer but they are scared away when Roger pokes his head out.

The next day everyone complains about the dolls and Alice is forced to package them all up and return them to the toy factory. However, Mort accidentally falls into a box of Mort dolls and is also returned to the toy factory.
The Penguins mail themselves to the factory to save Mort. While scouting out the factory the Penguins believe they are taking enemy fire. It turns out that King Julien mailed himself and has made fresh popcorn. King Julien becomes a hazard to their operation and is ordered to stay out of the way. However, when the Penguins all get stuck on a conveyor belt and almost shredded along with the Mort toys, King Julien comes to their rescue.
Even though a living, blinking, and breathing Private is seen emerging from the box in the end of the episode, it turns out that Private was actually left behind at the factory and replaced with a Private doll.

Happy King Julien Day![]
"Happy King Julien Day!" is the fifth episode of Season 1 from The Penguins of Madagascar.
Plot[]
King Julien announces that tomorrow is 15th day of the month and the biggest holiday of the year, which is "King Julien Day". Maurice tries to get everyone to remember King Julien day and celebration of it, claiming that if they forget, Julien will go insane and attack them physically and/or mentally (or, what they say, "freak").
Despite the proposition of receiving a piñata full of candy that Mort and Maurice had snatched from a rained out birthday party, Skipper refuses to celebrate. Skipper prefers to spend the day carrying out scheduled maintenance on the penguins' headquarters. (Because you can't go about rescheduling scheduled maintenance that's been scheduled, right on the schedule)
The other animals go along and celebrate King Julien day with the sole purpose of obtaining the candy inside of the piñata. They bask in his glory, limbo, let Julien throw fruit at them, and have a cake bake off in his honor. Mort trips while delivering the winning cake, sending it soaring through the air and it lands on Skipper's head.
This is the final straw for Skipper who comes over to the lemur habitat to tell Julien that there's no such thing as King Julien Day. Julien almost freaked but calmed down when he realized Skipper had brought the winning cake. Maurice brings out the piñata but Julien thinks it's just a paper horse that belongs to him. Julien names the piñata "Bob" and walks off with him. However, he returns and Kowalski, Marlene and the other animals who came to the party still receive candy because there is still the "Traditional Sharing of the Sweets", as an important part of King Julien Day.
Trivia[]
- There is also a DVD release of the same name released on August 10, 2010.

King Julien begins a dance party at the closing time of the zoo that extends well into the night. Unable to get any sleep and unable to wake his comrades, Skipper sneaks over to the lemur habitat to fix the problem himself.
Skipper steals the batteries from Julien's boom-box. When Julien and Skipper wrestle for control of the batteries Julien inadvertently knocks both himself and Skipper into the habitat of the overly-territorial kangaroo, Joey. Skipper and Julien end up in a tree and must team up to get out of the pen. King Julien's antics cause every escape attempt they try to fail. When Julien successful escapes without Skipper his guilt convinces him to sacrifice a battery to save skipper.
Skipper repays the favor by giving Julien a battery from his walkie talkie. Julien continues his dance party, much to the dismay of his fellow lemurs. When Skipper returns to headquarters he finds out that his men are wearing earmuffs and Rico forgot to give him a pair.

When Private finally gives in he trips on a roller skate and becomes an instant celebrity. Those watching the web-cams flock to the zoo to see Private whom is given the nickname "Slippy".
King Julien enlists the help of Marlene to steal back the viewers that he believes should be watching him instead. Private is taken away by Alice whom puts him in a special stage for him to show off. Private gets used to the life of being rewarded for his stunts and begins purposefully entertaining the guests. The other penguins meanwhile are trying to outsmart the cameras.
Marlene and King Julien put together a breathtaking show using aerial stunts and lights, and finally get some attention. They accidentally send Mort flying into the Slippy exhibit, destroying it. The resulting collision knocks down all of the the web-cameras except for one which catches Alice singing, making her the reigning champ of the web-cam shows.

Skipper begins by getting demolished but then he uses the corkscrew move that got him into this mess in order to defeat the Rat King and get the crown back. Upon further investigation, it is revealed to be a talking robot guide that directs zoo visitors around the zoo, thus relieving Alice of annoying tour group questions. King Julien instantly loves the robot, but Skipper believes that soon not only will they have robotic tour guides but also robotic exhibits. Rico regurgitates a bunch of weapons while Skipper tries to decide which would be the perfect one to fight the robot with. Finally Rico coughs up a time bomb and Skipper commemorates Rico's genius. Private warns that Alice is coming and in a panic to hide the bomb Rico swallows everything including the active time bomb.
When Alice leaves and Rico attempts to re-regurgitate the bomb she believes Rico is having trouble keeping his food down. She comes over and forces medicine down his throat that prevents him from regurgitating anything. The penguins try everything to induce vomiting including spinning him around, showing him a gory nature documentary and giving him a disgusting drink called "Number 12". King Julien comes over to the penguin habitat to "watch a penguin blow chunks". The desperate penguins seize Mort, who is the only one small enough to fit into Rico's mouth, with orders to diffuse the bomb. To get to the stomach, Mort has the option of taking a spiral staircase or an elevator, also inside Rico's digestive system. However, this proves futile when Mort announces that he doesn't know what color is blue and accidentally hits a kidney.
The penguins begin saying goodbye to Rico which activates his "mushy-love sensitivity" and makes him puke, regurgitating both Mort and the bomb. The bomb lands on the robot tour guide and destroys it. King Julien laments sadly that the robot was the only one who ever appreciated his booty. But a robotic arm falls from the sky and points towards his booty, to the lemur king's delight.

Alice then yells at the boy and slaps signs reading “Do not feed the animals” around the zoo, preventing the animals from obtaining the treat. The animals assemble to determine how to get popcorn on their own, but the penguins and lemurs don’t want to work together. The penguins then raid the zoo storage facility, the lemurs following behind, resulting in two bags of popcorn being taken between them. But when they get back to the zoovenir shop, they realize that they have unpopped popcorn, and Julien believes that the “popcorn eggs” need to be hatched under their warm bottoms. When Alice finds a trail of popcorn leading to the penguin habitat, Private helps Skipper hide the bag in the incinerator, and it soon pops, filling up and then bursting from the penguin habitat. Skipper and Private land in Marlene's habitat and Marlene congratulates them on their job "sort of" well done. Plot[]
The penguins perform and display their cuteness to zoo visitors in order to prompt them to feed them with fish purchased from Alice. Julien observes this from his habitat, stating his resentment of the fish odor to the other lemurs. When the zoo visitors feed the penguins, the penguins soon notice that they are not being fed their regular fish, but rather fish-shaped cake imitations. While Julien revels in not having to smell the fish, the penguins find the new cakes to be terrible in taste and hope that the substitution is just a one-time trial. When they are fed the fish cakes the next day, however, they assemble to plan a mission to obtain real fish on their own from a fish delivery truck as it travels down the road, which includes using Pinky the Flamingo for aerial support. When Julien observes the penguins preparing for their mission, he tells the other lemurs that the real fish cannot be allowed back into his kingdom. The penguins put their plan into action and obtain several crates of fish from the delivery truck, but when they return to the zoo, Julien tells them that he secretly switched the crates of fish with crates of the fish cakes. Julien and Skipper then engage in a series of attempts to one-up each other in terms of who last switched the crates around. But when both sets of crates are opened in an attempt to settle the disagreement, both contain the fish cakes. Kowalski then says that he has a theory on where the real fish ended up, and it is revealed that Pinky had taken them.

Miracle on Ice[]
"Miracle on Ice" is the eighteeth episode of Season 1 from The Penguins of Madagascar.
Plot[]
During the winter, the penguins freeze their habitat so they can play a hockey game against each other. The sewer rats challenge the penguins in a game of hockey. They lose and they have to leave their ice. They go to lemurs habitat and practice hockey over there. The lemurs want to play, so the penguins test out their skills. They do terrible, so Skipper makes them cheerleaders instead.
They soon challenge the rats to another game and soon begin winning. The rats start to play dirty by injuring the penguins so they would have to forfeit.
They first injure Private, by sending him flying through the air. Private lands in the porcupine habitat, taking many needle injuries - although Private notes that the porcupines were very apologetic, so the penguins pick Maurice to take his position.
Kowalski then pauses to calculate trajectories of the puck, but is slammed down by the Rat King, which causes him to become disoriented and speak weird, which leaves him unable to play, so they pick Mort to take his position.
When trying to save Mort from the Rat King, Skipper is hit into a wall so hard that he leaves a dent. Julien is their last choice as a substitute to finish the game. Only Rico, the goalie, is left unscathed.
With the other penguins out of the game, the rats soon start scoring again but the lemurs and penguins win when a rat skates over King Julien's foot. Julien becomes furious, he freaks out so much that he fires a box full of pucks at the rats, eventually causing the Rat King to forfeit the game.
Eclipsed[]
"Eclipsed" is the twenty episode of Season 1 from The Penguins of Madagascar.
Plot[]
The chimpanzees are enjoying a relaxing Sunday morning when King Julien comes to their habitat and starts dancing and singing his "congaga". In a newspaper Phil reads that there will be a total eclipse of the sun and the chimpanzees decide to use the eclipse to their advantage. They convince King Julien that the eclipse is a message from the "sky spirits", whcih shows that he made them very, very angry at him for his rude and selfish behavior as well as his all night dance parties. They force King Julien to change his ways by going to Private (the nicest guy in the zoo according to Julien) and demanding that Private teaches him how to be nice. Private suggests he could be nice by actually doing nice things for people.
Julien attempts to be nice by doing chores for everyone. He overdoes the kindness and annoys Skipper. Skipper tells Julien that he's been conned by the chimpanzees, but King Julien doesn't believe it so Skipper has Kowalski design up a weather machine to create another message for the sky spirits to send to Julien.
King Julien does not see the message because he is too busy crying. While King Julien misses the lightning bolt created by Kowalski's machine he does notice a rainbow forming as the storm clouds clear. Skipper convinces him that a rainbow is a message from the sky spirits saying that King Julien can go back to his own annoying kingly ways of congaga dancing and being a pain in the neck/butt.

Roger Dodger[]
"Roger Dodger" is the twenty-fifth episode of Season 1 from The Penguins of Madagascar.
Plot[]
The penguins are testing out their habitat's new defense grid when Roger the alligator bypasses all of it by coming through the sewer entrance (which he calls the front door). He has come to them for help because the sewer rats are stealing his stuff and are taking everything in his home. After attempting to train Roger, the penguins find he loathes violence of any kind, and Skipper decides it would be simpler to switch his gentle mind with Rico's world-class-psychopathic mind. Kowalski promptly makes a device that allows them to switch those minds.
Rico's mind, now in Roger's body, goes to Roger's home without even being ordered, and beats up the rats. Unfortunately he doesn't stop there, and Kowalski realises that Rico is even more psychopathic than usual. This, along with Roger's body, has him go on a rampage through the sewer that carries into the city. Roger, trapped in Rico's body, wants to help out but when he keeps burping up weapons involuntarily, Skipper tells him he isn't cut out for this type of action.
The penguins try to tie Rico up but he is too strong. Roger helps out by singing Rico to sleep. Rico falls asleep and the penguins are able to switch their brains back and return everyone to normal.
Jungle Law[]
"Jungle Law" is the thirty-forth episode of season 1 from The Penguins of Madagascar.
Plot[]
The lemurs are having a race to the bouncy castle but when King Julien tries to dive into it, he realizes that it is deflated. Kowalski is looking at all of the habitats through his binoculars and noticing that all of the electrical devices aren't working. The penguins hold a zoo meeting and try to explain that it is a space squid invasion but Marlene convinces them that it is just an electrical blackout (Although, Skipper was suspicious she was a space squid). The penguins promise to handle things in the zoo until the blackout ends, but King Julien takes charge and puts himself as the leader of the entire zoo during the blackout due to Jungle Law (he refers to Maurice as a certified jungle lawyer). Everyone but the penguins go along with Julien's plan, because Maurice has a briefcase. The penguins refuse to be a part of King Julien's kingdom. Skipper promises that Jungle Law will end badly and when it does, he'll tell Julien, "I told you so." Just as they are retreating back to their habitat, they realize that the zoo has turned into a madhouse with the animals fighting and running amok. King Julien gets kidnapped, Mort goes psycho looking for feet, and Bada and Bing are rampaging around stealing all the food they can find. The penguins find King Julien hiding and scared of the chaos. He weakly defends that this riot is part of the "three successful minutes of Jungle Law." But before Skipper could tell him, "I told you so", Julien runs away, unwilling to admit that he was wrong and attempts to regain control. The penguins use Marlene and Maurice as part of their plan. Rico and Marlene go after the gorillas while Skipper and Private try to take care of Mort. Kowalski and Maurice attempt to save King Julien from Burt who thinks Julien is a peanut. When they have trouble solving the crisis, Skipper used the problem he is handling to solve King Julien's problem so both problems are solved after the criminals are under control. Eventually all is restored and as a "thanks", all of the other zoo animals want to catapult King Julien out of the zoo but before they can, Skipper tells them that it was Julien's plan all along to keep their minds off of the blackout. The power comes back on and all is well, but only after the penguins catapult a watermelon into King Julien's head.
All King, No Kingdom[]
"All King, No Kingdom" is the thirty-seventh episode of season 1 from The Penguins of Madagascar.

He soon goes to the penguins because they are the only animals that ever come without being called there. He notices that Mort and Maurice throw a party without inviting him. He asks the penguins to come to a party that Julien throws.
The penguins help him make the party better and Julien invites 4 stuffed animals. The penguins notice that without his true friends, he went insane trying to look for people who love him (as much as he loves himself).
The penguins take Mort and Maurice to show him how Julien went insane. Maurice says that he just wants to teach Julien a lesson. He leaves his small shed (which is roomier than it looks) and goes back to Julien's half. Julien tells them to forget about how they broke his throne and become friends again.

When Private throws it back, the gorillas call him for their team and then argue about who gets the chimpanzees. Something is mentioned about Phil thinking that Mason stinks. Mason finally freaks out and says it is Phil that is the one who stinks and vows to not clean up after him anymore. The penguins are busy eating when they notice that mason has joined them. The penguins privately analyze everything and decide that maybe Mason needs to stay with them for a while to cool off. Mason is quite excited because it is cleaning day and decides he wants to live in the penguins habitat permanently. The penguins try to get Mason and Phil back together but Phil is being stubborn. Private has a therapy session for the two chimps and during the role playing session, King Julien comes in and does imitations of them. Mason still wants to live with the penguins and tries to prove his worth by cleaning things but is too slow because the penguins get it all before he is able to. He begins by planting garbage in order to clean it. The penguins catch him in the act. Meanwhile there is a party going on at Phil's among all the trash. The trash piles get too tall and topple over and all of the party guests are trapped, drowning in the waste. "Can't Touch This" is the fifth episode of Season 2 from The Penguins of Madagascar.
Plot[]
When the penguins hear the scream of a child, they soon learn it was the result of a boy having been bitten by a sheep at the zoo’s petting zoo. Appalled by the sheep’s attack, the penguins set off at night to retaliate against him.
However, the sheep, Randy, soon tells the penguins that he was provoked to bite the boy because the boy had, among other things, beaten on him and had pulled out a clump of his wool. Convinced that they had wrongly judged Randy (except Private), the penguins decide to help him out to prevent further abuse by rowdy children.
When their attempts at applying a slippery polymer, building up static electricity on Randy’s wool, and hypnosis fail, the penguins decide to transport Randy to a farm to live out the rest of his life.
Randy is soon taken to a farm by the penguins in a truck, but shortly after his arrival, Randy is horrified at the appearance of the other sheep there, who are sheered and appear to be in a cult-like trance.
Consequently, Randy ends up back at the petting zoo, but when the same boy approaches him to attack him again, Randy kicks him away. It is then revealed that Skipper and Rico had taught Randy some of their commando fighting moves.
Fit to Print[]
"Fit to Print" is the ninth episode of Season 2 from The Penguins of Madagascar.
Plot[]
The lemurs interrupt the penguins playing computer solitaire in the zoo office in order to sneak a peek at the zoo's new advertising campaign photo, which features the lemurs. After being chastised by the penguins for creating a threat of being seen by humans, Julien points out that the penguins can be seen in the background of the approved ad photo in commando fashion, seemingly unaware that their photo was being taken.
Back at their HQ, the penguins decide to set out to digitally remove themselves from the image before it is sent to the ad agency. Whilst attempting to do so at the photographer's house, however, Kowalski inadvertently sends an enlarged version of the incriminating area of the photo to the ad executives.
Their situation is made progressively worse when their visit to the ad agency results in the photo being sent to the printer with the caption "Killer Commando Penguins," and then when their attempt to reconfigure the 10,000-copy print job at the print shop instead results in a 1,000,000-copy authorization.
When their final attempt to stop the presses results in the foursome being caught up in and inked-up by the machinery, they retreat to the HQ, convinced their covert ops will soon be exposed. They get forced to self-destruct their HQ/habitat and cancel the penguin credo. However, the new ad which Alice reveals is only body shapes of the penguins, splatted on a white background, which secures the penguins' cover and recommences the penguin credo. Unfortunately at the very end, their HQ/habitat still self-destructs.

Kaboom and Kabust[]
"Kaboom and Kabust" is the sixteeth episode of Season 2 from The Penguins of Madagascar.
Plot[]
After King Julien interrupts the penguins' mission to destroy classified files with an undisclosed problem, Skipper dispatches Rico to take care of the matter. At the lemur habitat, Julien complains to Rico about a nearby billboard which he finds bothersome, which Rico enthusiastically destroys with lots of dynamite. Having been denied the usage of dynamite in the destruction of the files earlier, Rico greatly enjoys his work, even after the other penguins come over to investigate the blast.
Julien then desires more things blown up, finding Rico's destructive qualities 'awesome' but when Skipper warns of the consequences of an uncontrolled, wild Rico, Julien and Rico agree not to continue. However, the two soon act to the contrary and engage in an almost romantic montage of blowing things up. Most notably Julien gets Rico to wire his throne so that it causes explosions every time anyone says the word 'Julien'.
Eventually, dynamite-happy Rico reaches his breaking point due to all the "psychotic pressure" built up inside of him in consequence to his frenzy of creating explosions, and he begins to use his own body as a walking wrecking ball. To protect the zoo from Rico's destruction, the penguins and the lemurs trap Rico underneath Julien's bounce house, which Kowalski believes will serve as an "ideal lunacy absorber." The plan works, and soon Rico falls asleep, tired out by his "48 hours of uncontrolled mayhem."

Night and Dazed[]
"Night and Dazed" is the eighteeth episode of Season 2 from The Penguins of Madagascar.
Plot[]
In the course of testing the HQ's new evacuation system, Private is flung into the koala habitat. When it soon becomes night, the koala, Leonard, awakens, terrified of Private since he is one of the zoo's "dangerously psychotic" penguins. After assuring Leonard that he has no intent to hurt him, Private leaves the koala habitat, only to return the next day to find him unconscious. Fearing for him, Private brings the koala back to the HQ, where Kowalski explains that koalas are nocturnal and Leonard himself awakens from his slumber as night approaches. While there, Leonard is accidentally launched from the now-overhauled HQ evacuation system and touches down in Midtown, provoking the penguins to set out to find him and bring him back to the zoo. Soon after locating him, however, their situation becomes more difficult when Leonard falls asleep in the daylight. Eventually, the team manages to get the sleeping Leonard back into the zoo just shy of nightfall, and once night comes, Leonard awakens and spots Marlene and fears her in the same manner he had the penguins, which Skipper chalks up to Marlene apparently having a bad reputation herself.

Wishful Thinking[]
"Wishful Thinking" is the 20th episode of Season 2 from The Penguins of Madagascar.
Plot[]
After being accidentally knocked under a pile of pennies, Private is ordered to get rid of the coinage. While at the zoo’s fountain to do so, Private notices Mort biting into a penny and advises him to toss it into the fountain to make a wish instead.
Wishing for gumballs, Mort tosses the penny in and, to the serendipitous surprise of Private, gets them, leading Private to conclude that the fountain is magic. After Private tells the other penguins, Skipper warns that the fountain should be kept secret for fear of a careless wish wreaking havoc or exposing their operations, and limits his men to one wish each.
However, Julien soon learns of the fountain’s power through Mort, as does the rest of the zoo through Julien’s exposure. Following the penguins warning the other animals about the potential dangers, Alice spots Private out of his habitat, but he manages to get away from her. But Alice then finds a penny and tosses it into the fountain, wishing she knew what the story was with the penguins. Her wish triggers Kowalski to accidentally blow his plasma blaster, which he had wished for, through the top of the penguin habitat, exposing their HQ to Alice and soon resulting in the foursome being caged to be studied and dissected by the government.
But just as the penguins’ future looks bleak, Private has an idea, and with a penny from Rico, manages to get a penny into the fountain as the caged penguins pass by it and unwishes everything, setting things back to normal. Kowalski then convinces Private that his belief in the magic fountain was a delusion caused by Private’s bump on the head, but Burt is seen with a French baguette and wearing a beret, and since he had wished for a trip to Paris, suggests that it may not have been a delusion after all.
Hello, Dollface[]
"Hello, Dollface" is the twenty-second episode of Season 2 from The Penguins of Madagascar.
Plot[]
The penguins are watching a programme called The Lunacorns, a candy-floss sweet show about imagination and cute unicorns and rainbows. Skipper and Kowalski promptly change channels to a wrestling show, but an advert soon comes on. The toy manufacturer of Rico's doll-girlfriend has upgraded their doll line with a voice chip, and now the dolls can speak, saying wonderful things like "I love you too!" Rico desperately wants this upgrade for his Miss Perky doll, and when Kowalski explains he needs a voice chip, Rico grabs him and throws him into the car. The penguins are now on their way to get a voice chip, but the new dolls are selling like hot cakes, and they just can't get hold of one, even on the factory lines.
Private on the other hand manages to get hold of a Lunacorn toy - and to his surprise it has a voice chip saying similar things to what Miss Perky might say. Kowalski promptly takes the opportunity to take the voice chip from the Lunacorn and put it in Miss Perky.
Unfortunately the Lunacorn's voice chip is meant for Lunacorn toys, not Miss Perky dolls. It confuses Rico with its messages of peace and love. King Julien advises Rico to do everything the doll tells him to so as to keep the doll happy, and in doing so, to Skipper's horror Rico becomes a peace-loving hippy. But when the doll suggests to Rico that they become "special friends", which Private translates as "that's girl talk for "I never want to see you again in my life", Rico is devastated, believing that she no longer loves him. Kowalski tricks Rico into believing that the doll loves him just the way he is after he removes the voice chip & does it in a ventriloquism act, leaving Rico happy again, while the disposed chip lands in Julien's cup, strangely it still functioned.
