Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans is an upcoming American computer-animated film that was created by Guillermo del Toro, produced by DreamWorks Animation and Double Dare You, and was set to premiere on Netflix on July 21, 2021.[1]

The movie was directed by Johane Matte, Franciso Ruiz Velasco and Andrew L. Schmidt in their feature directorial debut, from a screenplay by Marc Guggenheim, Kevin Hageman and Dan Hageman.

The film marks DreamWorks Animation's first digital feature film as well as the first DreamWorks Animation feature film exclusively being distributed by Netflix.

The movie serves as the full-length feature film sequel to the Tales of Arcadia trilogy and also the ultimate conclusion of the Tales of Arcadia trilogy.

Plot

Arcadia may look like an ordinary town, but it lies at the center of magical and mystical lines that makes it a nexus for many battles among otherworldly creatures including trolls, aliens and wizards. Now, the heroes from the hit series Trollhunters, 3 Below, and Wizards team-up in their most epic adventure yet where they must fight the Arcane Order for control over the magic that binds them all.

Production

In 2019, DreamWorks Animation has started production on the full-length Tales of Arcadia feature film sequel.

On August 7, 2020, Guillermo del Toro announced that the full-length feature film sequel to the Tales of Arcadia trilogy will be titled Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans, which was set to be released on Netflix on July 21, 2021.
