Universal Cartoon Studios is an American animation studio which is a division of Universal Studios. It is best known for producing sequels to Universal-released feature films, such as The Land Before TimeAn American TailBalto, as well as other films and television series.

The actual animation production is done overseas, most notably by either Wang Film Productions or Rough Draft Studios, with pre-production and post-production is United States-based.

On August 22, 2016, the television animation divisions of Universal and DreamWorks merged after completing the acquisition of DreamWorks Animation.[2]
